FutuRemote: Research and business opportunities in developing remote work
FutuRemote research project continues the work of Fast Expert Teams, a national network launched in March 2020, right after the Covid-19 pandemic hit Finland. CoCoDigi research group is part of the FutuRemote project and Fast Expert Teams network.
FutuRemote project utilizes the national survey data collected in 2020 in Finland by Fast Expert Teams network. The aim of FutuRemote project is to provide new insights and perspectives on innovation and strategic decision-making for companies that are working remotely. FutuRemote project studies how emerging technologies and digitalization are changing knowledge work, social interaction and organizing.
The research group consists of researchers from four Finnish universities (LUT University, University of Jyväskylä, Tampere University & Aalto University). The researchers come from various different backgrounds: knowledge management, communication, work and organizational psychology, technology research as well as information and communication technology.
Together with Business Finland and participating companies we study how knowledge workers have adapted to remote work and explore opportunities for new products and services. FutuRemote project has received Covid-19 co-creation funding from Business Finland from 2020 to 2021.
